How to Increase HP Notebook Fan Speed <br>All laptops, including HP laptops, are prone to <br>overheating due to their cramped construction. <br>When simultaneously running many programs on <br>your computer, the fan may not be able to <br>sufficiently cool the laptop. When this happens, the <br>motherboard inside the laptop will shut the <br>computer down to prevent any damage. To prevent <br>this, you can set the fans in your HP laptop to work <br>at 100% capacity. This will effectively lower the <br>temperature inside of the laptop. However, this may <br>also make your computer sound like a jet engine <br>when you turn it on. <br>Difficulty: <br>Moderately Easy <br>Instructions <br>1. Turn on your HP laptop. Press "F1" every second <br>until the BIOS screen appears. If your laptop <br>model was made before 2006, press "F10" <br>instead of "F1." <br>2. Find the "System Monitor" on the BIOS main <br>menu and hit "Enter." Go to "Dynamic Fan <br>Control" and click "Enter." <br>3. Review the list of fans, such as CPU fan, case fan <br>(s), and others. Go to every fan option and click <br>"Enter." When a screen pops up asking you to <br>enter a percentage capacity for the fans to run at, <br>enter "100." This will make the fans run at 100% <br>capacity. <br>4. Click "F10" to apply all the changes you have <br>made and restart your computer.
